Dr. Farah Nazir

My Story

My services are born out of my former lecturing position in linguistics and English Language. I thoroughly enjoyed connecting, coaching, and tutoring students in their writing and ideas. Hence I began to offer this service privately with one client, who recommended their friend, and I have since grown client by client.

As my clients improve in their writing, they need less writing classes and more editing. So, my editing service started as an after-care service, but has since expanded into the business, charity, and publishing sectors.

I’m a big idea person with a deep understanding of the English language, and love to write. I’m passionate about authentically presenting ideas, thoughts, creativity, and opinions in a way that leaves the reader intellectually engaged, inspired, and in some way changed. I take the time to understand your needs and provide a tailor-made service that fits around you. My services give you the tools to grow and gain success either as a business, or an academic writer.

My Philosophy

I believe...

Writing is a valuable tool, as it not only connects one to the world, but welcomes others to your perspective of the world. Your writing is intimately connected to recognising your ideas, contributions, and services to the business and scholarly world. Ensuring you hear and recognise your voice, makes space for your writing to grow and develop.

High Quality

I am committed to...

Helping clients think and write more deeply, be more creative, and connect more authentically and meaningfully with their work and target audience.

My intention is...

(i) To relieve and support businesses, charities, and thinktanks by providing editing services that leave readers fully engaged.

(ii) To teach and supervise university students on how to write, develop, and express ideas in an academic manner.

My Research

Current Research

I continue to work in my specialism: I’m a UK-based linguist investigating the linguistics of the understudied language Pahari (Potwari-Mirpuri), and comparing it to sister languages Punjabi and Urdu-Hindi. I’m also exploring language creativity in the South-Asian Diaspora community (UK). If you’re interested in collaborating on interdisciplinary projects, contact me on: info@drfarahnazir.co.uk.
